Grant Morgan holds a BComm LLB degree, has been an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa since 2011 and has Right of Appearance in the High Court of South Africa.
He is an experienced litigator, and has appeared in Courts (civil and criminal) in both motion and trial proceedings on several occasions, as well as in various other forums, such as in arbitration and mediation proceedings (regulated by the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa and the Association of Arbitrators, the Estate Agency Affairs Board, the Rental Housing Tribunal, the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (“CCMA”), and the Metal and Engineering Industries Bargaining Council).
Grant assisted in the litigation and arbitration proceedings in respect of the largest existing class action in South African legal history in respect of silicosis, forming part of the legal team headed by prominent Mine Health and Safety practitioners.
He is experienced in property and sectional title law, having previously practiced under renowned Sectional Title experts. In this area of the law, he advises on commercial and residential property related agreements and disputes for a number of residential and commercial property associations, property management companies, and property developers.
Grant drafts and advises on various commercial agreements and assists in the negotiation and conclusion of various commercial transactions and contracts. In particular, he has established himself in the sports media; marketing and entertainment industries and currently represents prominent athletes, managers, agents, as well as sports media and marketing companies.
Grant also capably advises his clients on insolvency and employment law related issues and processes.
